— A Journey of Returning —
A year to come home to yourself.
Not to become a better version of yourself.
Not to finally fix the parts of you that are difficult, emotional, sensitive, messy or too much.
But to know yourself more deeply.
To trust what you feel.
To stay connected to yourself when life gets uncomfortable.
And to feel more free to be fully, honestly you.
A 12-month self-paced journey through Monique's practices, teachings and inner work — created to support the way you relate to yourself, your body, your emotions, your needs, your boundaries and the people you love.
You can be doing everything “right”…. and still wonder what’s wrong with you.
You love deeply. You care about people. You think about how your words will land.
You try to communicate well. You try to understand where everyone is coming from. You try not to overreact.
And yet...
You snap at someone you love over something tiny — and then spend the rest of the evening wondering what is wrong with you.
You say yes when you meant no.
You tell someone "it's fine" because explaining why it isn't feels like too much work.
You have the conversation in your head ten times before you actually have it.
You know you are upset, but by the time you work out what you actually feel, you've already gone quiet.
You can feel resentment building and still find yourself doing the exact thing you said you wouldn't do anymore.
You can feel resentment building and still find yourself doing the exact thing you said you wouldn't do anymore.
Why am I like this?
Why can't I just handle this better?
And perhaps the strangest part is that you already understand so much of this.
You've read the books. Listened to the podcasts. Learned about attachment, triggers, nervous-system regulation, inner-child work.
You can explain the pattern. Sometimes you can even see it happening in real time.
And still…
there you are again.
Knowing yourself isn't always the same as being able to stay with yourself.
You can know exactly why you shut down — and still shut down.
You can recognise that you're triggered — and still be completely swept away by it.
You can know your worth — and still abandon yourself in the moment it matters most.
You can know you have a right to say no — and still hear yourself saying "sure, no worries."
This isn't because you haven't done enough work.
Maybe the work has simply been asking you to understand yourself, when what you actually need is to experience yourself differently — and that happens in relationship. Your relationship with yourself, first. Sometimes it happens with someone else too, in a real moment, not a hypothetical one — but it starts with you, staying with you.
To notice what happens in your body. To stay, instead of leaving yourself. To listen, instead of talking yourself out of it. To feel what is actually true before the old pattern takes over.
And it doesn't mean working harder at becoming someone who never reacts, never struggles, never loses her way.
It just means, little by little, learning to make a different choice.
We’re not here to fix you.
We're done with endlessly asking: What's wrong with me?
We're done with treating some emotions as evolved and others as embarrassing. Done with trying to become so regulated that nothing gets to us. Done with confusing being easy to be around with being fully ourselves. Done with chasing some polished version of womanhood where we've finally healed enough to never get angry, never shut down, never get triggered, never need anything.
That's not the freedom most of us actually want.
We want to be able to feel what we feel. To know what we need. To say what is true. To stay connected to ourselves when someone else is disappointed. To love without disappearing inside the relationship. To have boundaries without needing a courtroom case to prove we're allowed to have them.
To be soft without becoming small. To be powerful without becoming hard.
To be fully ourselves — and still belong.
This is the work of returning.
Returning to your body. Returning to your truth. Returning to your own voice. Returning to the parts of yourself you learned to leave behind.
Not because they were broken.
Because they were yours.
Because this work belongs in your real life.
In the conversation where you suddenly go quiet.
In the moment you realise you've said yes when you meant no.
In the relationship where you want to stay connected without abandoning yourself.
In the morning when you wake up disconnected from what you need.
In the moment desire appears — and you don't know what to do with it.
In the boundary you know you need to make.
In the discomfort that makes you want to run, shut down, please or push harder.
This is where the work matters.
And over time, it might look something like this:
Your partner says something that would normally send you into hours of silent resentment.
You feel the familiar heat rise. The urge to withdraw. The urge to make him realise what he's done.
But this time, you notice.
You give yourself a moment.
And instead of swallowing it or exploding, you find the words:
“That actually hurt. I don't want to talk about it while I'm this activated. Can we come back to it in ten minutes?”
And you do.
Or you're halfway through typing “No worries! All good x” when you realise it isn't all good.
So you pause.
And write the actual sentence.
Not perfectly worded. Not especially polished.
Just true.
Because real change often happens in moments nobody else sees.
A pause.
A boundary.
A breath.
A sentence you wouldn't have said six months ago.
A moment when you remain with yourself, instead of leaving yourself behind.
Why I created this journey
Over the last decade, I've created courses, retreats, workshops, meditations and practices for thousands of women coming home to themselves. Each body of work has grown from something I've been living, learning or discovering myself.
This journey brings that work together in one place.
Right now, I'm entering a new season of motherhood. My third child has arrived, and for a while I need to step back from being as available to my work as I have been.
I didn't want that to mean the work disappears.
So I've gathered it here in a way that can keep meeting you — without needing me to be in the room every time. And I trust that when I return, the work will keep evolving too.
For now, this is here. A body of work you can enter s l o w l y. Return to often. And make your own.
And I'm grateful to have somewhere to place it.
inside embodied love - a journey of returningEverything you need to come home to yourself…
All in one sacred space.
This journey unfolds one chapter at a time — gently guiding you through the year.
Along the way you'll discover a growing library of practices, workshops and teachings to return to whenever life calls you deeper.
There's no pressure to consume everything. Only the freedom to move at the pace your life allows.
A place to return to, for as long as you need it.
Because knowing something and living it are not the same thing. You could move through a year's worth of teachings in a weekend — listen to every meditation, take every note, understand every concept — and still find yourself meeting the same pattern a week later. Not because the work didn't matter, but because real change needs time to become lived.
A year gives you time to meet the work in your actual life — tired, in love, under pressure, disappointed, stretched, asked to make a choice you've never made before. To come back to a teaching after life has given you a new reason to hear it.

“Testimonial from embodied woman here:
could be before/after card form specific moment.
You might recognise yourself here.
This may not be for you right now if…
You're looking for live calls or 1:1 support.
This is a self-paced journey. As Monique enters this next season with her new baby, she won't be offering live sessions for a while.
You can still reach her by email, but this isn't designed around ongoing access to Monique. It's designed to become something you can return to for yourself.
You've done years of personal development — or you're only just beginning. Either way, you want to know yourself more deeply.
Maybe you already understand your patterns. You know your attachment style. You've read the books and listened to the podcasts. You can usually tell when you're triggered.
But knowing doesn't always stop the pattern.
Maybe you are the person everyone comes to. The thoughtful one. The capable one. The one who remembers. The one who understands. The one who can see everyone's side.
And somewhere along the way, you've become less practiced at seeing your own.
You're tired of abandoning yourself to keep the peace. You want to feel more connected to your body and your inner world. You're curious about your desires, your boundaries and what is true for you. You want relationships that let you stay connected to yourself instead of disappearing inside them.
You're not looking for another programme to complete. You're looking for something you can live with. Something you can return to.
If you're ready to meet yourself with more honesty, more kindness, and less of the feeling that you should have figured it all out by now, you're in the right place.
“Healing isn't about becoming someone who never feels fear again.
It's about becoming someone who no longer abandons herself when fear arrives.”
— Monique CarmelaWhat could change over a year?
The goal isn't to become a woman who never gets triggered. She doesn't exist.
The goal is to know yourself well enough that when something happens, you have somewhere to come back to.
Maybe you notice the reaction sooner. Maybe you don't say yes quite so quickly. Maybe you stop explaining yourself when a simple no would do. Maybe you stay in the conversation instead of disappearing. Maybe you ask for what you actually want. Maybe you recognise that the anger isn't the problem. Maybe you stop abandoning your body every time someone else is uncomfortable. Maybe intimacy becomes less about getting it right and more about actually being there. Maybe you trust yourself a little more.
Not because you finally perfected yourself.
Because you've spent a year coming back.
Again. And again. And again.

Before you begin…
-
No. This is a self-paced journey. You can contact Monique by email, but there won't be live calls for the time being.
-
No. There is a suggested path, but you are allowed to move through the work according to your own life and what is most alive for you
-
Nothing. You don't fall behind. Nothing expires or resets. You simply come back when you're ready.
-
No. The work begins within you, but it naturally reaches into your relationships — the way you communicate, create boundaries, repair, love, receive and stay connected to yourself with another person.
-
Some of the material specifically explores relationship dynamics, communication and repair. The journey itself is for you.
A final note from Monique
Before you go...
My hope for you isn't that life becomes easier. It's something much quieter.
That wherever life takes you, you know how to find your way back to yourself. Again and again.
That you'll recognise your needs sooner. Trust your body more deeply. Meet yourself with more compassion. Speak more honestly. Love more gently.
Not because life stopped asking things of you. But because you've built the capacity to meet life differently.
Whether you choose to join this journey or not, I hope you leave here remembering this:
You don't need to have everything figured out. You don't need to be "more healed." You don't need to become a different version of yourself before you begin.
You are welcome exactly as you are.
Life will continue to change. There will be moments you feel deeply connected to yourself, and moments when you lose sight of what you need. Neither means you've failed. Sometimes, it's simply time to return.
My hope is that this becomes that place for you. A place to slow down. To reconnect. To remember. To come home to yourself, again and again, for as long as you need it.
I'd be honoured to welcome you.
